NEWS ALERT
Posted: September 18, 2014

The Krewe of ISIS, which has been parading in Jefferson Parish for more than forty years, has no plans to change its name because of current events in the Middle East. The captain said:

"No name change here. We ARE the Krewe of Isis, not an acronym and for 43 years our name has represented a wonderful group of woman who are proud American and who will not give in or give up a title we have created and maintained with dignity and pride!"

Meanwhile, the Order of Isis in Mobile is going to parade under the name OOI for the foreseeable future.
